In this course, we talk with Dr. Ann Hazzard, a clinical child psychologist who was on the faculty at Emory University in Atlanta and co-author of Something Happened in Our Town:  A Child's Story about Racial Injustice; and Dr. Joy Harris, a Full-time Lecturer at Princeton Theological Seminary and co-author of The ABCs of Diversity: Helping Kids (and Ourselves!) Embrace Our Differences.

This course covers the following learning objectives:

  • Explain the difference between not being racist and being anti-racist.
  • List 3 ways parents can acknowledge and celebrate diversity.
  • Explain institutionalized racism and white privilege.
  • List 2 resources for finding diverse children's books.
